Another overflowing box. So much to eat and preserve!
This week’s box includes:
- 1 jalapeno
- 1 yellow squash
- 2 zucchini
- 10 tomatoes
- 3 pickling cucumbers
- 1 red onion
- Green beans
- Green leaf lettuce
- 1 green bell pepper
- 1 german red strawberry tomato
- 1 bunch of carrots
- 1 bunch of scallions
Three pickling cucumbers. We’ve already eaten one jar of the pickles we made a few weeks ago — time to make some more (we have more cukes from Toby’s mom and dad ready to be pickled too).
Green beans, perhaps to be eaten fresh, but more likely than not to be pickled.
Two heads of green leaf lettuce. This stuff is nice, but the butter lettuce we had earlier in the season is still my favorite.
