Hi all! Sorry for the long hiatus. It’s been almost two months since my last post. In my defense, there’s been a lot going on around these parts.
We got hitched. It was a great day, filled with wonderful friends and family and awesome food. Unfortunately, due to a family emergency, we had to cancel our honeymoon in France at the last minute.
Instead, we stayed close to home and spent a lovely week together in Bedford and Pittsburgh. Not quite the same sites to see as Paris, but we still had a blast and made googly eyes at each other a lot. And really, that’s what mattered.
So, between wedding planning and family crises, blogging hasn’t been at the top of my to-do list for the last 8 weeks. I totally failed to document the second half of the winter CSA season. A multitude of wedding prep tasks and other stressful events meant that our usual routine of home cooking with local ingredients was often replaced with meals at bars within walking distance from our house, and when we did cook, I was too tired to take pictures or reflect on the meal. Sigh.
But now, with the wedding behind us and life returning to normal, I plan to return to our prior habits regarding food shopping, cooking, preserving and blogging. So, welcome back and stay tuned — spring is here, and lots of good things are sure to come.
